To The Editor:

Gasoline has topped $3.04 a gallon on the futures market today. This means huge increases at the pumps for all of us.

I urge everyone to protest by driving less, planning shopping trips and cutting fuel use any way they can.

Mow your lawn less or not at all this coming season. Place a sign in the front yard, “Protesting The High Cost Of Gasoline.” And let the grass grow.

Urge the county and city not to mow the roadways this year.

Burn your trash whenever you can instead of having it picked up.

Leave the snow on the roadways.
