Peggy, as she was known to her friends and family, was born in Boston, Mass. on July 29 1927, the first child to the late Thomas J. Croshaw and Frances Murray Croshaw. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 55 years, Clifton; and her younger brothers: Thomas, William and Donald.
She is survived by her son, Bruce, and his wife, Ann, of Cleveland and a younger son, Brian, of Blackstone Mass.; many nieces and nephews including her niece, Donna Hebb of Graton, Mass. and Andrew Croshaw of Hudson, Mass.; also special note are her brother-in-law, Paul Bayliss and his wife, Joyce, of Dover N.H.; and lifelong dear friend, Connie O’Brien of Medway, Mass.
She was a lifelong avid reader and had a particular fondness for cats, songbirds, her gardens and the ocean.
A memorial service celebrating her life will be held in May in Whitinsville Mass., details are not yet finalized.
The family request that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to Etowah Health Care Center, 409 Grady Road Etowah TN., 37331.
The last two years of her life Peggy fought a courageous battle against ALS, also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease. All donations will go towards the cost incurred while she was restricted to nursing homes.
