Margie Marie Peak, 70, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, Feb. 17, 2014.
She was born on June 6, 1943, to the late R.D. and Icey Gates.
She was a lifelong resident of the Cleveland area and a member of Ocoee Church of God.
She was a very hard working woman that loved and cared for her family and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She loved flowers, quilting, cooking, and was very quick witted and comical.
In addition to her mother and father, she was preceded in death by seven siblings.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 51 years, William “Bill” Peak; three daughters: Rosella Peak, Margarita Clewett (Jim) of Brookings, Ore. and Loretta Fox-Peak; one son, William “Junior” Peak (Kim); two sisters: Della Hughes of Luka, Miss. and Opal Bradham (Richard); two brothers: Carl Gates (Vickie) and Hoyt Gates; and eight grandchildren: Robert Peak, Riley Peak, Dawson Peak, Benjamin Peak, Adam Fox, Landon Fox, Robbie Stowell, and Frankie Stowell.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 21, 2014, at Beech Springs Baptist Church, 2328 Horns Creek Road in Ocoee.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the church and on Friday from 10 a.m. until the 11 a.m. service time.
Interment will follow the service in Dill Cemetery. The grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers. The Rev. Jerry Herron and the Rev. Jerry Campbell will be officiating the service.
