She was a lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area and was born on Jan. 31, 1943, a daughter of the late Joseph and Mildred Powell.
She was of the Baptist faith and retired from the industrial maintenance department of East Ridge Hospital. She will be forever remembered for being a loving wife and mother.
In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by a sister, Linda Jean Floyd.
She leaves here to cherish her memory, her loving husband of 24 years, William “Bill” Nabors; daughter, Cynthia Jean Nabors; sister, Donna Jo Erwin (Terry) of Fort Oglethorpe, Ga.; brothers: Larry Powell of Chattanooga and Richard Hilary Powell (Imogene) of Flat Rock, N.C.; and other extended family members and friends.
The family is planning a private memorial service to be held at a later date.
