Marvin G. Crye, 90, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Monday, April 29, 2013, in a local health care facility.

He was the son of the late Marcus and Mattie Crye.

He was a well known auto mechanic in the Bradley County area and since 1979 he co-owned and operated along with his son Michael, Crye Auto Alignment. He built a successful business by being honest and respectful to all of his customers. However, he loved nothing more then spending time with family and friends, his grandchildren being his greatest joy. He was a member of the Community Hall Church.

He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Edith Crye; his daughters: Glenda Taylor and her husband, Harold, Joyce Green and her husband, Keith, Rita Western and her husband, Len, all of Cleveland; one son, Michael Crye and his wife, Sheila, of Cleveland; six grandchildren; seven great -grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

A Remberance of life graveside service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2013, at the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Pastor Jeannie Cissom officiating.

Casketbearers will be Keith Green, Len Western, Jason Taylor, Lamar Black, Ryan McCartt and Gary Crye.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes.
