Mary Jefferson Frye, 92, of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Shelbyville, where she lived until five years ago when she moved to Cleveland.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Guy Frye; parents, Thomas and Sarah Carothers Jefferson; son, William J. Frye; sisters: Eulalie Jefferson and Elizabeth Bethurum; and brothers: Thomas Alva Jefferson II and James Carothers.
She is survived by her children, Donald Frye Jr. and wife, Cynthia, of Bozeman, Mont., and James D. Frye and wife, Jackie, of Cleveland; eight grandchildren: Colin Frye, Will Frye, Don Frye III, Bill Frye, Eulalie Cook, Mary Hambleton, Sara Christi and Rebecca Lay; six great-grandchildren: Knox Hambleton, Ella Hambleton, Miriam Frye, Frances Frye, Effie Frye and A.J. Lay; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Randy Martin officiating.
Interment will be at 3 p.m. CDT Saturday in Mount Hope Cemetery in Franklin.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 10 to 11 a.m. at the funeral home prior to the service.
