Mary Alma Tinsley Tidwell, 87, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 12, 2013, at the family residence.

She was a member of Clingan Ridge Baptist Church. She was a member of the F.E.C.A. formerly known as the Taylors Home Demonstration Club. She retired from the Tennessee Department of Education after 20 years of service.

She was preceded in death by her husbands: Dennis Tinsley and Hall Franklin “Fred” Tidwell; and her parents, Robert S. Beene and Maggie R. Branam Beene; and sister, Willie Mae Beene.

She is survived by her children: Sam Tinsley and wife, Joyce, and Jane Tinsley Verner and husband, Roy, all of Cleveland; five grandchildren: Angie Ogle, Michelle Stephens, Amy Farmer, Kevin Tinsley and Kimberly Hooker; and several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at Moore’s Chapel Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Ogle Sr. officiating.

Kevin Tinsley, Mike Ogle, Kaleb Tinsley, Conner Tinsley, Scottie Hooker and Justin Tilley will serve as pallbearers.

A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. this evening at Ralph Buckner Funeral Home.
