The retailer is primarily known for its factory-direct retail concept, selling the mattresses it makes directly to the public through its six locations.
Company president Roger Pickett announced recently that two well-known brands are joining the assortment of products carried at MurMaid Mattress stores.
Mattresses from Sealy Posturepedic and luxury manufacturer Stearns & Foster will be available.
“I think today more than ever local residents are looking to local businesses to furnish them with the products they wish to buy,” Pickett said. “Just as the addition of Tempur-Pedic over 10 years ago allows for a national mattress brand to be bought locally, the same is true for these two brands.”
Pickett added that the two new brands are some he believes customers would want to buy.
“Sealy was America’s largest distributor of mattresses for almost 30 years and has come out with some innovative new products this year,” he said. “Sealy and Stearns & Foster will be a great addition to the selection of mattresses we currently offer, including our own line of bedding. The name Posturepedic has been synonymous with healthy supportive sleep for decades now.”
MurMaid’s lines of bedding including Lindsey Line, Kristen Komfort and iCool memory gel beds, along with all of Tempur-Pedic’s best-selling beds, which will now be joined by Sealy’s traditional Posturepedic line up as well as the newer Optimum line of memory foam beds featuring the exclusive Opticool gel technology and the new Posturepedic Hybrid. The newest Hybrid series of beds features half memory foam and half springs, offering attributes of both mattress constructions.
The company said Stearns & Foster “has always been known for their luxury quality and tailoring, offering high end bedding at affordable prices.”
MurMaid Mattress is a growing factory-direct mattress manufacturer with locations in the Tennessee and Georgia area.
