Mr. and Mrs. Lamar McKenzie of Cleveland announce the engagement of their daughter, Meghan Elizabeth, to Joseph Ryan Evans of Nashville. The future bridegroom is the son of the late Jerry Evans and Mr. and Mrs. Bill Sanders of Cleveland.

The couple will wed in a late summer ceremony at Patten Chapel in Chattanooga.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. George B. McKenzie and the late Mr. and Mrs. Wallie Woodard. She is the sister of Alex McKenzie and Logan McKenzie, both of Cleveland.

Miss McKenzie is a graduate of Cleveland High School and Middle Tennessee State University. She is employed in management at Dillard’s in Nashville. She grew up in and is a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Cleveland.

Mr. Evans is the grandson of Nell Grosh of Cleveland, the late Carlton Evans, Ruth Richeson Casteel of Cleveland and the late Joseph B. Casteel. He is the brother of Whitney Mantooth of Chattanooga and Jon Mantooth and Robbie Lauren Mantooth, both of Cleveland.

He is a graduate of Cleveland High School and the University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and is employed by State Farm Insurance in Nashville.
