Dan and Karen Griffith of Cleveland announce the engagement of their daughter, Renee LaChae Medders, to Nicholas Michael Gardner, the son of Michael and Brenda Gardner of Ringgold, Ga.

The couple will marry on April 30 at East Ridge Church of Christ, where they are both members.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Lillian Griffith of Cleveland and the late Bert and Betty Allen. She is the sister of Natasha Medders of Cleveland.

Miss Medders is a 2003 graduate of Copper Basin and a 2004 graduate of Cleveland State Community College. She is employed by the Wagner Law Office.

The future bridegroom is the grandson of Tommy Ramos of Hampton, Ark., and the late Mable Ramos and Albert and Frances Gardner of Kennett, Mo. He is the brother of Stephanie Gardner of Madison, Ala., and Jessica Gardner Morey of Little Rock, Ark.

Mr. Gardner is a 1999 graduate of El Dorado High School and a 2002 graduate of Missouri Institute of Welding. He is employed by Metal Working Solutions.
