Melva Sue “Bo” Bryson, 69, of Cleveland, passed away early Saturday, Nov. 16, 2013, at the family residence.
She was affectionately known as “Bo” and was the daughter of the late Ruby Jewel Montgomery Vaughn and Roy Lee Vaughn.
She was preceded in death by her granddaughter, Crystal Lynn Crisp; her sister, Gail Boling; and her brothers: Tommy, Jimmy and Larry Vaughn.
She was retired from the American Uniform Company with 40 years of service.
She was known for her kind heart, because she would help anyone who was in need including opening her home to people and stray animals. She donated time and money to many different causes. She loved animals, crocheting and she could sew anything.
She was of the Christian faith.
Survivors include her husband, William “Bill” Bryson of Cleveland; daughters: Jaime Bryson Nelson and her husband, Brandon Kevin Nelson, and Carol Lynn Cole, all of Cleveland; son, Christopher Brian Bryson of Cleveland; grandchildren: Kevin Crisp and his wife Krista, Adam Crisp, Brandon Bryson, Caterra Bryson, Cody Fowler and Tanner Steffens; great-grandchildren: Elijah Elmore, Logan Crisp and Matthew Crisp; brothers: Darrell Vaughn and his wife, Lucille, Danny Vaughn and his wife, Linda, Wayne Vaughn and his wife, Jean, Oscar Jack Vaughn and his wife, Carrie, and Pete Vaughn; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted, Nov. 18, 2013, at 2 p.m., from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes.
Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
