Meredith Sellers, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Benton Sellers of Cleveland, graduated in May from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. A 2005 graduate and valedictorian of girls Preparatory School, she received her undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt college of Arts and Science and received the Founders Medal, first honors.

At graduation from the School of Medicine, she received the Glasgow-Rubin Certificate of Commendation, presented in recognition of women medical students who graduate as honor graduates; the Albert Weinstein Prize in Medicine for high academic achievement, superior clinical competence, and the qualities of dedication and professionalism that characterize a good physician, and the David Orth Award in Endocrinology for outstanding performance in clinical or research endocrinology.

A member of Alpha Omega Alpha, the medical honor society, Sellers is in her first year of residency in internal medicine at McGaw Medical Center of Northwestern University, Chicago.
