Mildred Grace Paul, 89, a resident of Cleveland, passed away on Sunday morning, April 20, 2014, in a local health care facility.

She was born Oct. 17, 1924, to the late Zeffie Snyder Brown and Calvin Brown.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, James Frazier Paul; her sisters: Esta Pell and Dorothy Brown; and her brothers: Norris and Winston Brown.

She was retired from American Uniform Company with 35 years of service. Sewing was one of her favorite hobbies and she loved to quilt. She was considered a wonderful cook and many meals were prepared and served from “Mamaw’s” table. Sunday’s were special and lots of memories were made. Her passion was her family.

She was a devoted Christian and she was a member of the Sunrise Baptist Church, where she loved the fellowship of the people.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children: Calvin Paul and wife, Mary Ellen, Katherine Clower and her husband, Glenn, Jim Paul and his wife, Sheila, Winston Paul and his wife, Debbie, and Bill Paul and his wife Reta; a special friend, Pat Rymer and her husband, Joe; her grandchildren: Amy Umberger, Angie Thompson and her husband, Paul, Tommy Paul, Lynda Paul, Lori Bodle and her husband, Joe, Scarlette Meadows and her husband, Phillip, Cindy Jenkins and her husband, Matt, Laura Wellman and her husband ,Mark, Julie Murray and her husband, Adam, Dusty Paul, Verrena Ownby and Sandy Haney and her husband, Ronnie; 18 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; her sisters: Ruth Heddon and Virginia Stafford; and several nieces and nephews.

The Remembrance of Life Service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 23, 2014, from the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Revs. Benny Watson and Glenn Clower officiating.

Interment will follow in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with Tommy Paul, Adam Murray, Paul Thompson, Joe Bodle, Dusty Paul and Chad Ownby serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
