She was preceded in death by her husband, John Vernon Rose; parents, Thomas H. McPheeters and Anna Ratcliff McPheeters; brothers: James, Thomas and Eugene McPheeters; sisters: Irene McPheeters Hawkins, Mary Louise McPheeters Cox, and Ruth McPheeters Cain.
Survivors include two sons: John Wayndle Ramsey of Texas and Eugene Ramsey (Julie) of Cleveland; daughter, Retha Ramsey Harris (Burt) of Cleveland; grandchildren: Sean Carden, Destiny Jackson, and Matthew Ramsey; great-grandchildren: Ana Carden, Gauge Arnold, and Conner Arnold; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 7 p.m. Wednesday, March 30, 2011, at Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Gary Sears and the Rev. Dean Hawkins officiating.
Interment will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Chestuee Methodist Cemetery with the Rev. Barry Lee officiating.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Mount Olive Church Children’s Ministry.
