Mina Sue “Susie” Tallant, 65, passed Monday, Sept. 17, 2012, at her home in Cleveland.
She was employed with more than 20 years at Cope’s Restaurant, and was also employed at Duracell.
She professed her faith is Christ at an early age and was baptized. She cherished and loved her children and grandchildren, and loved to make people see the enjoyment of life by making them laugh.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Willard and Mattie Camp Dixon; and three sisters: Mildred Harrison, Helen Hill and Bertha Grissom.
Loving memories of her will be cherished by her family one daughter, Tammy Marie Burns (Richard Allen) Butler of Cleveland; sons: Larry (Linda) Burns of Cleveland and Robbie Joe (Anna) Burns of Cohutta, Ga.; nine grandchildren: Francesca Elizabeth Butler (Joseph Nathaniel) Brown, Richard Allen Butler II, Zachery Gene Butler, Amanda Rose Burns, Billy Todd, Tony Todd, Candace Nicole Burns, Krystal Sue Burns, and Michael Thomas Gallaway; six great-grandchildren; two brothers: Sonny Dixon of Cleveland and Roy Dale Dixon of Chattanooga; several nieces and nephews; a special friend, Caroline Sue Ashe of Cleveland; and many other relatives and dear friends.
The funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, at Fellowship Baptist Church, Welcome Valley Road in Benton, with the Rev. Tony Duggan delivering the eulogy.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the church.
Interment will follow at Fellowship Baptist Church Cemetery.
