The Walker Valley boys’ soccer team garnered a 3-1 victory Monday in their season opener with Sequoyah High School.

Walker Valley had 23 shots on goal with Marcus Houston connecting twice and Caio Hysinger once. Keeper Brad Hofffner had five saves before coming out during the last eight minutes of the game with a foot injury.

“We are playing good soccer right now. We had a tough time finding the back of the net but we are definitely creating our chances. We also had to play without some key players due to sickness and injury. I am proud of the team for stepping up and playing through some adversity last night,” said coach Tom Bayliss.
