The deadline to register for the Nov. 6 presidential election is Oct. 8.

The Bradley County NAACP is canvassing local churches and businesses and saturating these places with voter registration cards to encourage as many registered voters as possible.

Though the oldest civil rights organization is nonpartisan and does not endorse candidates, the NAACP is very active in the political process.
