Nancy Kinder Maddux Branam, 66, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday, Aug. 2, 2014, in a local hospital.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was described by her family as a deeply loving, courageous, strong individual; she always demonstrated unconditional love toward them all. She loved to dance and be around her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, they were her pride and joy.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mark Alexander Maddux; parents, John H. and Mary Ruth Kinder; siblings: Joan Southerland, Patsy Poteat, Sarah Kinder, Mary Linda Kinder, Richard Kinder, James Kinder and Ralph “Buster” Kinder.
Survivors include her sons, David “Jackie” Maddux and wife, Lela, John Maddux, Paul “Nick” Maddux and wife, Misti; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; one brother, John Kinder; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2014, in the chapel of Fike-Randolph & Son Funeral Home with Dr. Jamison Work officiating.
Interment will follow in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery with grandsons: Mark Maddux, Anthony Maddux, Alex Maddux, Andrew Maddux, Gaven Kinder and Jon Dale serving as pallbearers.
A white dove release ceremony will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
