Nancy Carolyn Carney, 70, of North Charleston, S.C., died Thursday, April 12, 2012, at the Hospice Center of Charleston, Mount Pleasant.
She was born Nov. 2, 1941, in Decatur, Ala.
She was preceded in death by her twin sister, Donna Wallace.
She was a graduate of Trinity University in El Paso, Texas, where she received her bachelor’s degree in journalism.
She enjoyed watching sports and retired from the Chattanooga Time Free Press. She was a former Lifestyles editor at the Banner.
She is survived by her son, James Carney and his wife, Brooke, of Summerville, S.C.
