She was preceded in death by her parents, Oliver and Florence Manahan Kipe; husband, Harold B. Sorrells; and daughters: Tina Sorrells and Brenda Conley.
She is survived by her children: Monica Sue Cawood of Charleston, Barty Sorrells of Ruckersville, Va., and Nina Phillips of Riceville; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Edna Flohr, of Blue Ridge Summit, Pa.; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, 2012, in the chapel of Grissom Funeral Home with the Rev. Van Sliger officiating.
Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 9 this evening at the funeral home.
