Nedith Irene Ewing-Beck died Thursday, Sept. 15, 2011, in a local hospital.

She was born in Cleveland to the late Virgie and Joseph Ewing.

She was also preceded in death by sisters: Geneva Gray, Willie Jo Porter-Smith, and Fern Brooks; brothers: O’Conner Ewing, and Ralph Thompson; and a daughter, Judy Beck.

She was a member of St. James CPCA for many years. She was employed at Volunteer Electric, Magic Chef and enjoyed her time babysitting.

She leaves to cherish memories her children: Emily (Larry) Fields of Cleveland, Keith (Harriet) Beck of Tulsa, Okla., Eric Beck and Deborah Jones, both of Cleveland; sister, Nellie Smith of Etowah; brother, Lee, of Cleveland, Ohio; grandchildren: Melissa (Quinn) Seay of Braselton, Ga., Mary Westfield of Cleveland, Casey and Ashley Beck of Tulsa, Okla., and Erica Beck of Meigs County; great-grandchildren: Jonathan and Marc Seay of Braselton, Ga., Jimmy and Jada Waters of Cleveland, and Isaiah, Faith, and Elijah Beck of Tulsa, Okla.; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and special friends: Betty Person and Daisy Phillips.

The body may be viewed from 9 a.m. until 8 p.m. Monday at the Patton Funeral Home Chapel, 265 Fair St.

The family will receive friends from 1 until the 2 p.m. service time Tuesday, Sept. 20, 2011, at Saint James Cumberland Presbyterian Church in America on Short Street N.E. The Rev. Rhonda S. Westfield will be the officiant and the Rev. Aubery Ector will be the eulogist.

Interment will follow the service at Fort Hill Cemetery with a Dove release.
