Bradley County Sheriff’s Office officials will be holding a Neighborhood Watch meeting tonight beginning at 6:30.

According to Lt. Bob Hancock, the meeting will be held at 133 Sabrina Drive and is for the Sabrina and Nicola communities.

Residents of the area are invited to listen to the program and gather for fellowship with their neighbors. A number of other Neighborhood Watch events are also planned and will be announced later.

- Cleveland Police charged a Henderson man with a variety of narcotics charges as well as a traffic offense after a traffic stop on Adkisson Drive.

Edmund Levelle Thomas is charged with two counts of possession of Schedule II narcotics for resale, simple possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia as well as crossing the center line, according to officer Andy Ratcliff’s arrest report.

Ratcliff and officer Cody Hinson were traveling on Adkisson Drive when they reportedly observed a 2005 Mercury Grand Marquis cross the center line and travel the wrong way for a short distance. Officers performed a traffic stop and approached the driver, Thomas, and asked him if he had been drinking.

According to the report, officers then performed field sobriety tests to make a determination.

During the tests, officers noted Thomas was “visibly nervous and continued to say so,” according to Ratcliff.

Officers reportedly asked Thomas if he had anything illegal inside his vehicle and Thomas stated “no.”

Officers then received consent to search Thomas’s vehicle and they found a can which was labeled as degreaser.

The can reportedly had a “screw-off bottom and was manufactured to conceal items,” according to the report.

Ratcliff also noted when he picked up the can, he could tell by feeling it that it contained something other than liquid.

After removing the bottom of the can, officers found suspected cocaine, crack cocaine and marijuana along with 13 pills.

Thomas also had over $1,200 cash and a set of digital scales on his person.

According to the affidavit, Thomas was read his Miranda rights and “during our conversation, he (Thomas) stated he had brought the drugs to Cleveland and had delivered to two people. The drugs inside the vehicle were what he had left over from previous sales.”

Thomas was taken to the Bradley County Jail and booked on the charges.

- A Glensara Drive resident was charged with abuse of 911 after she allegedly called the emergency service at least six times and made threats toward dispatchers.

A report filed by deputy Tommy Kimsey of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Office said Denise Anderson, 41, had called to report a noise disturbance.

Anderson reportedly made six phone calls to 911. The report noted Anderson “sounded intoxicated,” as she made the complaints.

Kimsey reported that after the disturbance was investigated and “before I could get to Mrs. Anderson’s house, she called in on a 911 line two more times threatening to beat the dispatchers up. When I got to the house, I found Mrs. Anderson on the phone with 911 for the sixth time,” according to his report.

Anderson was arrested and taken to the Bradley County Jail where she was charged with the alleged abuse of 911.
