North Lee Hwy. bus wreck
TWO WALKER VALLEY students suffered minor injuries and were transported to SkyRidge Medical Center after a Bradley County school bus was involved in a wreck with a small pickup truck on North Lee Highway this morning. Students on Bus No. 28 driven by April Lowe were on their way to Walker Valley High School when the bus collided with the truck, according to Gary Austin of Bradley County Schools. Austin said 31 students were on the bus at the time of the crash. Lowe was not injured. The driver of the truck was injured and also transported to the hospital via Bradley County Emergency Medical Service, according to Stan Clark of BCEMS. Students were evacuated from the bus and loaded onto another one for transport to WVHS. Bradley County Sheriff’s Office and Tennessee Highway Patrol are in charge of the crash investigation.
