The Ocoee Middle eight-grade girls basketball team picked up another win and stayed perfect at 4-0 with a 51-43 victory over Baylor.

The Lady Colts expanded a close 12-11 first-quarter lead to 28-18 at halftime. OMS held a 37-31 lead after three quarters before closing out the win with 11 fourth-quarter points.

Cy Cy White led the Lady Colts with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Hallie Hughes recorded 14 points and five steals while E.K. Brown hit double figures with 12 points and booked nine boards. Kaley Walker contributed nine points while Laney Houston helped the cause with four steals and five assists.

“Baylor has a super team this year and had not lost a game. They have some great, fast shooters,” said OMS coach Joe Spencer. “We had a burner. They cut it to one point with three minutes left and Kaley hit two 3s with two minutes to go and we pulled away. Cy Cy White had the game of her life. We played really hard and that is what it took to win the game.”
