On a beautiful afternoon for golf, the Lady Colts and the Colts of Ocoee Middle took to the course, hosting district foes Rhea County and Chilhowee Middle at Chatata Valley Wednesday.

Both matches went down to the wire, with both Ocoee squads coming out on top of the three-way contests.

Kelsey Cassada and Olivia Williams posted scores of 42 and 43 to lead the ladies to an 8-stroke victory over Chilhowee. Danielle Bates led the way for the Lady Bobcats, shooting a 43 while Niki Ball added a 50.

The boys also had consistent scores with Colton Humbard and Parker Gray each firing a 44 while Nick McCracken and Gage Brakebill followed with 46 and 50 respectively. The 184 total gave the Colts a 3-shot victory over Rhea County. Ben Fox led the charge for Rhea with a 43, and Spencer Robinson followed with a 44.

The Lady Colts stand at 12-1 on the season and the Colts pushed their record to 12-2. Both squads will next head to Moccasin Bend Golf Club to face off with Baylor Wednesday.
