The team earned first place honors in Jazz division and first place honors in Pom division. Three soloist from the Ocoee Middle School Dance Team competed. OMS eighth-grader and co-captain of the team, Emily Derrick, first place soloist; OMS seventh-grader Logan Griffith, second place soloist; OMS seventh-grader Ashley Harper, third place soloist.
The Ocoee Middle School Dance Team is directed by Tria Montgomery.
“I am so proud of our girls every day, but especially today. Their determination, commitment and school spirit is evident in all their dances,” Montgomery said.

Tryouts for the 2013-14 Ocoee Middle School Dance Team will be held the week of April 1.
