Ogle takes Johnson Memorial

After claiming the pole position, Billy Ogle Jr. led from wire-to-wire Saturday night to win the 22nd annual Jean Johnson Memorial race at the Cleveland Speedway.

The Knoxville driver earned $3,500 for his 40-lap Super Late Model victory.

SAS points leader Randy Weaver, from Crossville, finished second in the feature event, with Georgetown’s Skip Arp, Johnny Chastain, of Murphy, N.C., and Alexandria, Ala.’s Dingus Griffin rounding out the top five.

Lamar Scoggins, of Georgetown, won the 30-lap limited Late Model/Crate race, claiming a $1,200 prize.
