Olen Dills, 73, a resident of Old Fort, went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, Sept. 4, 2013.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Lola Green Dills; father, Willie Dills; brothers: Robert, Charlie, Edward and Wilburn Dills; and sisters: Dorothy Cates, Lois Green, Minnie Hawkins and Willie Green Watson.
He was a member of Ball Play Baptist Church and was a well-known gospel piano player.
He is survived by his wife, Jo Dills; daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and Thomas Young; son, Gregory Dills; daughters-in-law: Debbie Watson and Susan Ledford Dills; son, Gary Dills and daughter-in-law, Christy Dills; stepson, Billy Henley; grandsons: Heath Griffith, Dustin Dills and Bryon Dills; granddaughters: Kisha Dills and Nora Henley; stepgrandchildren: Tristian Yarber, Payten Yarber and Isiah Yarber; sister and brother-in-law, Essie and Kenneth Day; and several loved nieces, nephews and great-grandchildren.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 2 p.m. today, Sept. 6, 2013, at the Wildwood Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Home with the Revs. Herbert Fansler and Jerry Campbell officiating.
The family will have a private interment in the Ball Play Baptist Church Cemetery.
