Olive W. Barnett, 90, a resident of Russellville, Ala., and a former resident of Cleveland, passed away Friday, Dec. 21, 2012, in Russellville.

He was a member of Asbury United Methodist Church. He retired from TVA in 1974 after many years of service. He was a veteran of the United States Navy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dottie Dee Barnett; parents, Henry Lee Barnett and Elsie Barnett; and also a stepson, Tommy McKamey.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Charlotte Stiles of Chattanooga; four stepgrandchildren: Monica McKamey of Cleveland, Eric Stiles of Lookout Mountain, Dana Dee Stiles of Summerfield, N.C., and Brandi McKamey McKenzie of Jackson, Miss.; five stepgreat-grandchildren; three stepgreat-great-grandchildren; three nephews: Howard Barnett, Hal Barnett and Mickey Barnett, all of Russellville; and one niece, Sue Pilgrim of Russellville.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. today, Dec. 23, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Paul officiating.

Interment will be held at 11:30 a.m. Monday, at the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military honors.

His family will receive friends from 1to 2 p.m today at the funeral home prior to the service.
