He was born in Tampa, Fla., and had lived in Cleveland for the past 15 years.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and was of the Christian faith. He was an avid historian and enjoyed listening to the Beatles and spending time with his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Perry.
He is survived by his loving wife of 30 years, Donna Hope Perry of Cleveland; children and spouses: Deanna Maria Harlow and husband, Robert, of Riverview, Fla., Crystal Irene Anglero and husband, Aldo, of Tampa, Stephen Levi, Jennifer Ann Patterson, Jessica Rachael Rogers, Vera Renee Bailey, Donna Elisabeth McCall and husband, Casey, of Cleveland and Danielle Caitlin Hamilton and husband, Avery, all of Cleveland; mother, Vera Lee Perry of Tampa; sisters: Cindy Maxie and husband, Mike, of Tampa and Terry Rudolph and husband, Jim, of Boise, Idaho; 24 grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews and other extended family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 16, 2014, at Chattanooga National Cemetery with Pastor Don Phillips officiating.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 this evening at the funeral home.
