Paul E. Thomas, 61, a resident of Cleveland, passed away Sunday night, Aug. 4, 2013, at his home.

He was born in Knoxville, a son of the late John and Eva Thomas.

He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army, having faithfully served his country during the Vietnam War. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Cleveland.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one sister, Phyllis Pittman; one niece, Melody Parker; and one nephew, Robbie Croley.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving and devoted wife of 19 years, Wilma Jean Thomas; two sisters: Patricia Croley and husband, Robert, of Knoxville and Peggy Parker (Jim Waggoner) of Cleveland; his three four-legged companions: Buffy Mae, Mitzi Jean and Cindy Lou; and several nieces, nephews, extended family members and a host of special friends.

The family is planning a private memorial service at a later date.

The family ask that in lieu of flowers memorial donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga, 4411 Oakwood Dr., Chattanooga, TN 37416, in Paul’s memory.
