The family of Jaclyn Pickel of Cleveland announces her engagement and forthcoming marriage to Tyler Wade Burnett of Murfreesboro.

The couple will wed on Nov. 19 at The Church at Gracepoint in Cleveland in a 5 p.m. ceremony. Joe Elliott, grandfather of the future bridegroom, will officiate and Phil Griffin will offer a special prayer.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Regina Pickel and the late Jim Pickel. She is the granddaughter of Virginia Dillon of Cleveland, the late Norman Dillon, June Armstrong of Athens and the late Roy Pickel. She is the sister of Cal Pickel, Kellen Pickel and Amber Amburn.

Miss Pickel is a 2006 graduate of Bradley Central High School, where she was a three-sport all-state athlete. She graduated recently from Middle Tennessee State University where she played four years of basketball for the Lady Raiders. She will graduate in December with a master’s degree from MTSU. She is a second-grade teacher at John Pittman Elementary School in Murfreesboro, where the couple will reside.

The future bridegroom is the son of Steven and Melissa Burnett and Audra Spence. He is the brother of Hayley Burnett, Garrett Burnett, Brooklyn Hillhouse, Chandler Hillhouse and Brittney Hayes.

Mr. Burnett is a 2007 graduate of Oakland High School where he played baseball and football. He was an all-state baseball player and attended Middle Tennessee State University on a baseball scholarship. He was drafted (17th round) to the Houston Astros.
