Life Care Centers of America honored two Cleveland-based associates with awards for excellence during its Annual Management Meeting Sept. 26.

Mike Pigg, field controller for Life Care’s Eastern Division, received the companywide Division Support Award, while Ken Bolin, controller for Life Care’s Cumberland Region, received one of two President’s Awards for the Eastern Division.

Beecher Hunter, Life Care president, shared: “Mike and Ken are individuals who have remarkable professional talent, and they are driven by an unwavering commitment to providing the best possible service to our residents through the exceptional support they provide to our facility teams.”

Pigg was honored for his extra service to the newly created River Region in Central Tennessee. He individually trained the executive director at each of the region’s six buildings on how to better understand financial reports. As a result of his excellent training, other regions began asking for the same training.

Under Pigg’s leadership, all of the region’s facilities currently have a positive variance of accounts receivable days standard.

Bolin was praised for his guidance to facilities in transition, as well as for pushing associates to succeed in reaching higher goals.

“Ken is a guy we can trust, rely on and respect,” said Jeremy Gravell, executive director at Life Care Center of Cleveland. “We know he has our best interest in mind. He is full of ideas, very knowledgeable and patient.”

Life Care’s Eastern Division includes 41 facilities in Tennessee, Georgia, Kentucky, North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia.
