Cynthia Paige Adkisson became the bride of Frank McKenney Pointer III, both of Cookeville, in an afternoon ceremony at Black Bear Cove Lodge on Oct. 16, 2010.

The bride is the daughter of Jack and Judy Adkisson of Cleveland. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. William J. Cates and the late Mr. and Mrs. David T. Adkisson. She is the sister of Travis C. Adkisson of Ft. Myers, Fla., and William Tyler Adkisson of Hampton, Va.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Ken Pointer of Charlotte. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Frank M. Pointer and the late Mr. and Mrs. Warren Lewis Cunningham. He is the brother of Claire Pointer of Charlotte.

The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Chip Hammonds, pastor of Farmland Community Church. Nuptial music was provided by Jay Hysinger of Beat Lab Productions.

The bride was presented in marriage by her father. She was served by her best friend Heather Sulzbach Hendy of Cleveland as maid of honor. The bridegroom’s sister served as bridesmaid.

Seth Williams, of Nashville, served as best man to the bridegroom. John Pierce of Cookeville served as groomsman.

The parents of the bride gave the reception at Black Bear Cove Lodge. Pamela Baker was the wedding coordinator. Rebecca Cornelius kept the bride’s book. Michael Vigeant of Cookeville served as photographer.

After a wedding trip to Hawaii, the couple resides in Cookeville.
