Survivors include his daughter, Joyce Keith, of Charleston; son, James Hardy of Decatur; 22 grandchildren; special granddaughter, Virginia Lee of Sweetwater; several great-grandchildren; and halfbrother, Earl Hardy.
He was preceded in death by wives: Lorene Faye Roberts Hardy and Bertha Lee Hardy; sons: Edward Leon Hardy Sr., Donald Eugene Hardy Sr. and Lloyd Lee Sr.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, March 23, 2013, in the chapel of Biereley-Hale Funeral Home in Madisonville with the Rev. Dewayne Lee officiating.
Interment will be in New Bethel Cemetery.
The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home in Madisonville.
