Randy “Duck” Duckett, 49, a resident of Hamilton County, passed away Monday, July 29, 2013, at his residence.

He attended Greenwood Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Ooltewah High School’s class of 1982. He was employed by The Honors Course golf club for 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Marlette Duckett, in 2012; father, Kenneth Duckett; and sister, Beverly Rena Duckett.

He is survived by his mother, Glenda Welch and husband, Arthur, of Georgetown; brothers: Jerry Duckett and wife, Kimberly, of Cleveland and Lynn Duckett of Georgetown; sister, Kimberly Manring of Nashville; best friend, Bob Lawson of Ooltewah; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 3, 2013, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Toby Brogdon officiating.

A white dove release ceremony on the front lawn will conclude the service.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
