Raymond “Bug” Chambers, 46, a resident of Old Fort, passed away Thursday, Oct. 11, 2012, at the family residence.
He was the son of the late Raymond L. and Judy Chambers. He was also preceded in death by his grandparents: Otis and Hoyt Chambers, Grace Elizabeth Garland and Carl Wilcoxon.
He was employed by S & S Rock as a crusher operator.
He attended Ball Play Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Michelle Chambers; daughter, Nicole Dye of Cleveland; sons: Richard Dye of Cleveland and Brandon Blair of Old Fort; grandchildren: Raymond Lee Kyle, Keiylah Paige Dye, Hayli Wisner, Kylynn Hardwick and Kota Dye; sisters: Julie Partin and Tabitha Blair and her husband, Daryl, all of Old Fort; brothers: Timothy Chambers of Cleveland and Jimmy Chambers of Old Fort; and several cousins, nieces and nephews.
A Remembrance of Life service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, 2012, at the Wildwood Avenue Chapel of Jim Rush Funeral Homes with the Revs. Rob Works and Kenny Green officiating.
Interment will follow in Liberty Baptist Church cemetery with James Green, Timothy Chambers, Jimmy Chambers, Daryl Blair, Michael Stafford, Charlie Davis, Bobby Rogers and Nick Wilcox serving as casket bearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 this evening at the funeral home.
