Reba Christine Rector Bryson, 77, passed away Thursday, March 29, 2012, in a local hospital.

She was a homemaker and loved cooking, singing, gardening and reading. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Harvey Earl Rector and Irene Susan Burnette Rector.

She is survived by her loving husband of 58 years, 6 months and 6 days, Willard Eugene Bryson, of Cleveland; daughters: Jeannie McDowell, Debra Skyles and Patricia Newman; son, Craig Bryson; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; three sisters: Viola Harris, Ethel Adams and Edna Brown; and one brother, Earl Rector.

The funeral will be at 4 p.m. today, April 1, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Jim Caywood officiating. Interment will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. today at the funeral home prior to the service.
