Reba Elder Cate, 64, a lifelong resident of Ocoee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Monday morning, July 14, 2014.

She was born on Sept. 20, 1949, a daughter of the late Willie and Maude Elder.

She was of the Baptist faith. She loved to work in her flower gardens and being outside in order to enjoy all that God had created.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by one son, Austin Robinson; four brothers: Willie Elder, Thomas Elder, Robert Elder and Vance Elder; and one sister, Edna Moyer.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory one son, Jeffrey Robinson; one granddaughter, Lyneca Robinson; one great-grandson Landon; two sisters: Frances Thompson and her husband, Ray, and Margaret “Peggy” Wilson; several other extended family members; and a host of special friends.

A celebration of her life is planned for Friday, July 18, 2014, at 2 p.m. at the Boanerges Baptist Church, 234 Boanerges Church Road in Old Fort, with the Revs. Charles Moore and Jerry Herron officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery with her nephews serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 17, 2014, from 5 until 8 p.m. in the chapel of Companion Funeral Home, 2419 Georgetown Road, and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
