Regina Wyatt, 63 of Calhoun, Ga., passed away Sunday, Feb. 2, 2014, in Redmond Regional Medical Center.
She was born on June 11, 1950, in Mount Sterling, Ky. to the late Robert Colonel Begley and Virginia “Momma B” Wells Begley.
She was a member of the New Town Baptist Church and has been a resident of Gordon County for 18 years. Prior to retirement she was employed by Favorite Market and Camp Oil.
She was preceded in death by two brothers: Ralph Wayne Begley and Roy James Begley; one sister, Barbara Ann Begley; and a daughter-in-law, Glenda Abney.
She is survived by her husband, Sammy Wyatt of Calhoun, Ga.; two sons: Keith Abney of Lexington, Ky. and Jerry Fox and his wife, Jessica, of Cleveland; one daughter, Melissa Sharp and her husband, Dea, of Cleveland; two stepdaughters, Lisa Flores of Calhoun, Ga. and Karen Gatlin; one brother, Charles Franklin Begley of Stanton, Ky.; her twin sister, Arlena Morefield of Liberty, Ind.; sisters: Robin Flannery of Lexington, Delma Becker of Frankfort, Ky. and Roberta Tapley of Batavia, Ohio; seven grandchildren: Keshana Fox, twins, Matthew and John Abney, Jared Fox, Brandon Sharp, Marissa Risin and Adam Bradley; special nieces: Tonya McCullough and Christy Morefield; and additional nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014, at 11 a.m. from the chapel of Thomas Funeral Home in Calhoun, Ga., with the Rev. Walter Hare officiating.
Entombment will follow in Haven of Rest Cemetery.
Pallbearers serving will be Brandon Sharp, Jeff Flannery, Bill McCullough, Dea Sharp, Richard Morefield, Patrick Flores and Eddie Watkins. Honorary Pallbearers will be Danny Wilson and Richard Becker.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
