Renee Yvette Wooden Duckworth, 48, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Saturday morning, April 5, 2014, after fighting a brave battle with debilitating injuries she sustained in an automobile accident 23 years ago.

She was born in Cleveland on July 23, 1965, a daughter of Benny and Margie Wooden.

She was of the Baptist faith and attended Waterville Baptist Church. She was a great swimmer and served as a life guard for many years. She feared nothing and was always ready to try the newest water slide and water park available.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Margie Wooden; and her husband, Jeffrey P. Duckworth.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her father, Benny Wooden; one son, Christopher Duckworth; one brother, Bruce Allen Wooden of Grand Rapids, Mich.; four stepbrothers: Danny Haney, Ralph Haney, Charles Haney and Ronnie Haney; nieces: Heather Renee Jay, Brianna Nee Wooden, Amy Nave and Becky Keller; and several other extended family members and a host of friends.

A graveside service is planned for Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at 10 a.m. in the Sunset Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Phil Griffin officiating.
