(Editor’s Note: Any Cleveland and Bradley County restaurants that are offering free meals to area veterans on Monday in observance of Veterans Day are asked to contact the Cleveland Daily Banner at 472-5041. Once the Veterans Day offer is confirmed, a brief announcement will be included in Sunday’s edition.)

For 13 years, Golden Corral has taken part in the celebration of freedom and honored veterans across the country for Veterans Day.

On Monday, in remembrance of past and current military personnel, Golden Corral will be offering free buffet with choice of beverage.

According to Barbara Refuerzo, general manager of the local Golden Corral located on Stuart Road, the business is working in conjunction with the Disabled American Veterans organization.

It will be a “dine-in” only, five-hour event beginning at 4 p.m. and lasting until 9 p.m.

No ID is required, according to officials.

Golden Corral identifies the event as “Military Appreciation Monday,” in honor of the veterans and current military members who will memorialize fellow soldiers, sailors and airmen on Veterans Day.
