According to Cleveland Police Department reports, at least four such thefts have occurred over the past three weeks.
Investigators determined the units are not being sold for scrap metal.
According to their reports, the units are removed intact to be reused or sold to unknowing customers.
An eyewitness said they saw a white male possibly in his mid 50s fleeing the scene in an older, possibly 1980s-model gray Ford pickup truck.
Police reports said a cash reward is being offered for any information on these stolen units or possible suspects’ identities.

- A man involved in a dispute with his neighbor has been transported to Erlanger Hospital due to internal bleeding in his head.
Officer Paul Allen was dispatched on Sept. 4 to respond to a fight between neighbors.
According to his report, when he arrived Charles Calhoun was sitting in the yard and appeared to be disoriented.
Calhoun reportedly said his neighbor, Robert Boura, hit him in the head with a pipe monkey wrench. Boura reportedly fled the seen in a vehicle after the altercation.
Boura’s wife, Spring, reportedly said in her statement Calhoun and his son, Shawn, came into their yard looking for a fight with Boura.
She said they would not leave their property so Boura struck Calhoun in the head with a pipe wrench and left in a vehicle.
Allen collected the alleged weapon and reported Calhoun was transported from Sky Ridge Medical Center to Erlanger Hospital due to internal bleeding in the brain area.
- The Bradley County Sheriff’s Office is seeking information on a man wanted in Bradley and three other counties.
Darnaise Smith is being sought for outstanding charges in Bradley County for evading arrest, speeding, and stealing a 1981 Pontiac Trans Am.
According to law enforcement authorities, Smith has additional charges from Polk County, and Whitfield and Murray counties in Georgia.
Reports said the Trans Am theft was discovered when the owner returned home from work. The car had been sitting in the front yard with a “For Sale”sign. A neighbor reportedly told deputies he saw a man get out of another vehicle and drive off in the Trans Am toward Georgia.
A Murray County, Ga., deputy reportedly spotted the vehicle and was able to identify the driver as Smith.
According to police reports, Smith is a 40-year-old white male, 5-foot-8 inches tall, and weighs about 220 pounds. He reportedly has brown hair and green eyes and possibly a goatee.
The Trans Am is white with a “screaming eagle” graphic on the front hood.
The BCSO is asking anyone with information that will help locate Smith or the car contacttheir office by calling 423-728-7336.
- At 12:23 p.m. Thursday Bradley County Emergency Medical Service responded two ambulances and a paramedic supervisor to Water Street in Charleston where a man was reportedly pinned underneath a truck, according to a report by Stan Clark, with EMS.
When responders arrived, they found a 27-year-old male had been changing the oil on a large truck. The truck somehow rolled backward onto him pinning him by the tire.
Bystanders drove the truck off of him before responders arrived.
Paramedics quickly realized that the patient had serious injuries and would require transport to a level 1 trauma center. Air medical was requested to respond and land at the scene. Air Evac launched from their Athens base and was on scene within minutes. The patient was treated and stabilized on scene by EMS then moved to the helicopter.
The patient was flown to Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga in serious condition.
Bradley County Fire and Rescue responded as well and was in charge of the landing zone.
