“Rightpath blew us away with their appearance last year,” said Will Nichols, producer of the weekly show. “No doubt, they are one of the best bluegrass bands we’ve had play the Jubilee.
Based out of Rocky Face, Ga., Rightpath is a six-member gospel bluegrass band that features great picking and tight harmonies. The band is comprised of Tim Witt on dobro, Anthony Bunch on bass, Joshua Hudgins on mandolin, Jody Thornton on guitar, Shana Bunch on fiddle and Randy J. Davis on banjo.
Also appearing on the Jubilee is award-winning singer-songwriter Elmer Bramlett, Southern Gospel singer Amy McAlister, Emily Varnell, and the Cowboy Church Band and Chorale. Ron Upchurch is host and announcer.
The Cowboy Gospel Jubilee is held at the Cleveland Cowboy Church, in the Dockery Heights community at 3040 Blythe Road, off Dockery Lane, between Blue Springs and Blackburn Roads. Admission is free and a love offering is taken.
