Robert O. “Bobby” Howard, 65, a lifelong resident of Cleveland, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 3, 2012, in a Nashville hospital.

He was a member of West Cleveland Baptist Church, where he sang in the choir and was also an usher. He was a former member of the Cleveland Masonic Lodge No.134 F.&AM. He was retired from Brown Stove Works after 31 years of service.

He was the son of the late Walter Odell Howard and Mary Brewer Howard. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Jimmy Howard.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Marie Howard of Cleveland; four children: James Brown and wife, Krissy, Robbie Howard and wife, Camill, Kim Howard and Lori Burmeister, all of Cleveland; and one granddaughter, Emma Grace Howard.

The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 7, 2012, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Pastor Matt Ward officiating.

Interment will follow in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens with a white dove release ceremony concluding the service.

Timothy Shackleford, Jonathan Cathell, Andrew Cathell, Derek Frizzell, Joe Moreau and Chris Graham will serve as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
