He was the son of the late Goldie Phipps Estep and Robert Powell Estep Sr. He was preceded in death by three sisters and two brothers.
He was retired from L.O.F. Glass Company in Toledo, Ohio, with more than 22 years of service.
He was a U.S. Army veteran, who served in the Korean conflict.
He loved bluegrass gospel music and playing the guitar and the harmonica.
He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Mildred Estep of Cleveland; his son, Darrell Estep and daughter-in-law, Tammy, of Cleveland; his grandson, Ryan Estep of Cleveland; his sisters: Georgia Thomas of Cleveland, Finia Richardson of Elizabethton and Roxie Salyers of Toledo, Ohio; his brother, Gary Estep of Toledo; and several nieces and nephews.
The Remembrance of Life service will be held Thursday, July, 11, 2013, at 1 p.m. at the Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes with Pastor Basil Embry officiating.
Interment will follow in the Lee Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 this evening at the funeral home.
