A recent rodeo at Tri-State Exhibition Center was dedicated to the late Justin Maples.

Maples lost his life in the line of duty. He was responding to a call on May 20 when he was involved in a fatal crash.

The American flag was brought into the arena, and this was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance. Constables Wayne Henry and Ira Cox gave a salute to the fallen officer. A special prayer for the Maples family, friends and co-workers was given.
