Bailey David of Cleveland became the bride of Matthew Rogers of Riceville in an evening ceremony on Oct. 22, 2011, at First United Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Alan and Rachel David of Charleston. She is the granddaughter of Bob and Betty Watt of Knoxville and Bob and Maggie David of Venice, Fla.

The bridegroom is the son of Randy Rogers of Athens and Linda Kidwell of Cleveland. He is the grandson of George and Rose Rogers of Riceville and Jack and Breme Springer of Norman, Okla.

The wedding was officiated by the Rev. Tim Paul. Nuptial music was provided by Jean Henderson, Susan Peay and soloist Janee Cates, the bride’s aunt. Derek Timothy Green of Cleveland gave a Scripture reading.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by Laura Moore as matron of honor and Allie O’Connell as maid of honor; both are of Cleveland.

Bridesmaids were Casey Brown, Jessica Justice, Cassy Nicholson, the bridegroom’s sister Sarah Rogers, Emily Lay and Nikki Sutton, all of Cleveland, the bridegroom’s sister Christy Brown of Hillsboro and the bride’s cousin Jessica Zawacki of Sarasota, Fla.

Best man to the bridegroom was his father. Groomsmen were Ryan Lane, Chad Moore, Aaron Elledge, Jonathan Douglas, the bride’s brothers: Beau David and Rob David, all of Cleveland, Dustin Mitchell of Weatherford, Texas, the bridegroom’s brother-in-law Daniel Brown of Hillsboro and Michael Reed of Ooltewah. Ushers ere Scott Morrow, Ben Berry and Greg Blankenship, all of Cleveland.

Children in the wedding party included Ella Ingram and Anna Kate Ingram, both of Cleveland, who were junior bridesmaids; flower girls, Mary Kate Olinger, Olivia Workman and Juliana Workman, all of Cleveland; and the bridegroom’s niece, Addie Brown of Hillsboro. The bridegroom’s nephew, Avery Brown of Hillsboro, was ring bearer. The ring bearer’s pillow bore a white dove, also, carried in memory of the bridegroom’s nephew, the late Denton George Brown.

The reception was given by the parents of the bride at the Baldheaded Bistro. The Collins’ Brothers Band and Jared Elledge furnished music. Audra Olinger and Nikki Sutton served. Kristen Berry kept the bride’s book.

After a wedding trip to Jamaica, the couple resides in Riceville.
