Ronnie Bearden, 57, a resident of Cleveland, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday night, June 15, 2013, from a Chattanooga health care facility surrounded by his family.
He was born in Chattanooga on Dec. 30, 1955, a son of Robert Bearden Sr. and Faye Bearden.
He loved to water ski, go boating and anything else to do with the water. He was of the Christian faith.
He was preceded in death by two grandmothers, Nora Moore and Pearl Lockhart; and brother-in-law, Al Melear.
He leaves behind to cherish his memory his mother, Faye Bearden of Cleveland; father and stepmother, Robert and Hester Bearden of Rossville, Ga.: two daughters: Megan Bearden and Chloe Bearden; one son, Jason Bearden; one grandson, Mason, and another grandchild due to be born in August; two sisters: Pam McKellip of Georgia and Jann and Blake Gideon of Cleveland: one brother, Bobby Bearden Jr.; two half sisters: Kim Rhodes of Flintstone, Ga., and Robin Bearden of Chattanooga; special friends: Nathan Hembree and Chloe’s mother, Lou Hembree; several nieces, nephews, and other extended family members and friends.
A celebration of his life is planned for Wednesday, June 19, 2013, at 7 p.m. at the Community Hall Church, 1305 6th St., Cleveland, with Pastor Jeannie Cissom officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church on Wednesday from 5 . until the 7 p.m. service time.
The family extends appreciation to the staff at The Health Center at Standifer Place for the excellent care they provided Ronnie and the family over the past couple of years.
