He was a lifelong resident of Bradley County and a member of Antioch Baptist Church in McDonald.
He was born on Aug. 10, 1960, a son of Leroy and Irene Ledford of McDonald. He was an avid motorcycle enthusiast and racing fan.
He was preceded in death by one son, William Leroy Ledford.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son, Ronnie Lee Ledford Jr. of Cleveland; three sisters: Shelia and Ray Massengale of McDonald, Connie and Gary Crowe of Decatur, and Marty Massingill Tate of McDonald; grandmother, Helen Hill of Ooltewah; grandchildren: Jake and Jaxon Ledford; a special friend, Tammy Daley; and a niece, nephews and numerous other extended family members.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 17, 2012, at the Antioch Baptist Church, 2807 Old Alabama Road S.W., McDonald, with the Rev. Ken Purdie officiating.
Interment will follow in the Antioch Church Cemetery with Daniel Massengale, Eddie Massingill, T.J. Massingill, Jason Crowe, Travis Battles, Ricky Teague, and Roger Kirkpatrick serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 this evening at Antioch Baptist Church.
The body will also lie in repose one hour prior to the service on Saturday at the church.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to Hospice of Chattanooga in his memory.
